Unfortunately [for the second ride in a row], neither of the group's two scribes could make it today, resulting in no report. Apologies for that. But thanks to Alison, there are a few photos.
According to the leader (Alan) the ride went well with only one minor mechanical issue which was quickly resolved. The weather was dull as the fifteen riders set out, but the sun came out in Fife, albeit accompanied by a noticeable wind.
Fingers crossed, normal service should be resumed for the next ride.
Edinburgh 20-Milers is an informal and sociable cycling group. We have an easy-to-moderate ride on the second Saturday of every month, and other occasional rides throughout the year.
Our rides are suitable for occasional cyclists and those with a little more experience. They are a good choice for riders who are comfortable cycling about 20 miles in a day, but who might not feel ready for a longer or more strenuous day out. (If you haven't cycled for a while, or are unsure of your abilities, consider starting with EasyCycle instead.)
We favour easy paths and gentle gradients where possible, and aim to avoid heavy traffic.
We meet on the second Saturday of every month (January to December) at the north end of Middle Meadow Walk (at the junction with Lauriston Place) in Edinburgh at 10.30am.
All our rides are free. There's no advance booking: just turn up on the day.
